The path to Enlightenment is simple: Forgiveness, Acceptance, and Love.

About This Quote

The path to Enlightenment (or Nirvana, as it’s known in Buddhism) is simple: Forgiveness, Acceptance, and Love. The goal of Buddhism is to stop the cycle of suffering that results from our own ignorance. The Buddha made it easy on us by saying that all we have to do is forgo (refrain from doing) the things that bring suffering (pain, sickness, etc.) and develop the qualities of love, compassion, and wisdom. Forgiveness is simply letting go of the past.

Acceptance means to have faith in the present moment. Love means opening up your heart so that you can feel what others are feeling.
